The Chief Guest of the Human Rights Day Programme 2011 celebrations Sh. Ram Jethmalani Supreme Court Bar Council Chairman, (MP and Ex. Cabinet Minister) Human Rights Day Celebrations 2011 delivering a speech on the wide ranging issues related to Human Rights. In his speech Sh. Jethmalani highlighted the importance of Human Rights Awareness in depth and defined the role of state and central Government, which was fully supported by the audience and VVIPs also shared the dais. Sh. Jethmalani also thanked Ch. Jamshed Alam, President IHRPC for giving an opportunity to put forth his views on this Global Issue of Human Rights Awareness.

On the request by the Audience the VVIPs of the Human Rights Day Celebrations 2011 stood up and acknowledged the welcome by the audience and the media personnel. The entire hall was echoing with the clapping for quite some time.

On the request of Ch. Jamshed Alam, President IHRPC the entire group of VVIPs and Audience including the media present stood up and mourned for two minutes in the memory of those who became victims of the Human Rights Violations all over the world. Each member of the group seemed to be emotional.


Ch. Jamshed Alam, President IHRPC, apprising the VVIPs, the Audience & Media the projects completed by IHRPC in the last three years especially the projects taken in hand and completed in the last one year. Ch. Jamshed Alam brought to the knowledge of the VVIPs the suffering of the citizens on account of Human Rights violations in our country and the delay in the action taken by the concerned State Government. The President, IHRPC requested the VVIPs for their cooperation in impressing upon the Government to award justice to the victims of the Human Rights Violations. The President, IHRPC also requested the Audience to bring to the knowledge of IHRPC if they come across any incident where the violation of Human Rights is observed.


On the recommendation of Ch. Jamshed Alam, The President, IHRPC, Sh Ram jethmalani handing over the IHRPC trophy to Sh. Z.U. Siddiqui, DC, Govt. of Delhi for developing the systems that are within the reach of the common man thereby helping him to get his job done in hrs. Or a couple of days which otherwise was taking long time. Mr. Siddiqui is an officer who is easily approachable.


Being delighted to listen to the VVIPs and Ch. Jamshed Alam with regard to the achievements of IHRPC, the members of IHRPC from all over India decided to honour Ch. Before breaking for the lunch Ch. Jamshed Alam, President IHRPC made it a point to entertain the audience by inviting the Famous Star Zubair Sanam who enacted the role of Tipu Sultan in the TV serial. On the stage Mr. Zubair Sanam repeated all the dialogues of Tipu Sultan.
